While the FBI may recommend using ad blockers as a tool to reduce the risk of cybercrime, it is important to note that adblockers alone may not completely protect you from all online threats.

Ad blockers can be useful in blocking malicious ads that may contain malware or lead to phishing websites, but they do not address other common vectors of attack such as email phishing, social engineering, or vulnerabilities in software and operating systems.

It is recommended to use multiple layers of protection, including keeping your software and operating systems up-to-date, using strong and unique passwords, enabling two-factor authentication where possible, and being cautious of suspicious links and emails. A comprehensive security approach can help to reduce the risk of cybercrime and keep you safe online.
